In the month of March, Noble Gas Solutions was proud to welcome Anthony (Tony) DeRusso to our Noble Team as a Driver! Tony has been in training for the past couple of weeks, learning from our team of drivers. He has been attentive throughout his training and eager to improve with the help of his teammate’s tips. Tony will be making daily deliveries to our customers throughout the Capital Region and Hudson Valley area.
Meet Tony DeRusso: Noble’s Newest Driver
Tony DeRusso was born and raised in Colonie, NY. Tony and his wife, Dawn, both attended Colonie High School. They have been happily married for 28 years and raised four sons together, all of which attended Colonie High School.
Tony is an active member of his community. He has a love for baseball that goes beyond being just a fan of the sport – or the Yankees! Tony has coached baseball for 18 years, starting when his eldest son, AJ, started playing, up until his youngest son, Shane, turned 18.
He coached for a variety of leagues, recreational, travel, and the handpicked All-Star team. This is truly an accomplishment due to the fact that you must be elected as the preferred coach for the All-Star team. Tony was up against 4 other qualified candidates and won! Tony was definitely the favorite among the players, who still affectionately call him “Coach Tâ€.
Tony’s time as a coach for different leagues ended 2 years ago, but his passion still burns. For this reason, Tony joined the Capital District Umpire Association. You may see him as the Umpire at the next game you go to!
Welcoming Tony to our Noble Team
Tony met part of our Noble Family, Jeff Toms, while coaching baseball. Both of their sons were on the same team, one that Coach T was coaching. Jeff is a driver for Noble Gas Solutions and they quickly became good friends. Jeff has taken Tony under his wing and has been diligently showing him the ropes in the company. We are happy to welcome Tony as an official member of our Noble Team!
His experience as a freight handler for residential and business deliveries through FedEx Ground and New England Motor Freight has prepared him for this new role. Next time you see Tony, whether it’s on the field or out on the road, make sure to say hi!
