As a Customer Service Representative you are the first person our customers see as they walk into our retail location – you are the face of Noble Gas! Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Order Processing:

  • Process incoming customer orders via phone and email.
  • Solicit sales from customers in-store and by phone
  • Handle credit memos for returned goods, defective products, and pricing errors.
  • Assist customers in identifying product needs or applications and locating merchandise.
  • Using the ERP system research and resolve customer issues and concerns such as requests for quotes, order status, returned goods authorization, and machine repair status.
  • Wrap, bag purchases, and assist customers with loading merchandise into vehicles.

Payment Handling:

  • Receive credit card and cash payments on customer accounts.
  • Enter sales transactions accurately into the computer system.
  • Ensure adherence to administrative and accounting procedures related to payments and sales.

Administrative Duties:

  • Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
  • Monitor and resolve open or unbilled customer orders, including follow-up for backordered products.
  • Accurately complete and file required paperwork, including sales documents and quotes.
  • Process end-of-day cash sheet, balance drawer, and submit deposits and tickets to the finance team daily.
  • Maintain current price documentation and product literature.

Inventory and Merchandising:

  • Shipping and receiving of product transfers between branches.
  • Organize and restock store shelves as needed.
  • Maintain showroom and facility cleanliness.
  • Conduct inventory counts as required and ensure merchandise is orderly and well-displayed.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in making deliveries to customers when necessary.
  • Follow all safety procedures, particularly regarding the handling and storage of cylinders.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to successfully operate in a multi-task oriented environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, ability to set and achieve personal goals and objectives
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and/or move more than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment

Preferred:

  • 1 year of previous product, warehouse, and/or sales experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Prior welding experience (such as knowledge in MIG, TIG, and Stick Welding).
  • Experience with ERP software, TIMS, or CRM systems, Salesforce.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, approximately 40 hours a week
