Severe winds left many commercial and residential areas in the Capital Region without power as early as Friday, November 1st with some outages lasting until Sunday, November 3rd. National Grid’s website showed over 100,000 residents of the Capital Region affected as of Friday, with a potential of many more being impacted by the continuous harsh winds.
Community Cares
While the National Grid crews were hard at work restoring power, the company organized emergency stations within heavily impacted communities to distribute water and dry ice. The Wilton Fire Department was set-up as a distribution location on Saturday. This location was available for residents who were still impacted by outages. Noble Gas Solutions was called in to supply dry ice within the hour – and we delivered. During this emergency, our Noble team was part of the community’s efforts to help residents affected by the power outages. After all, that’s what a community is all about.
Why Use Dry Ice?
Power outage in your area? Dry ice allows you to save perishable foods by keeping them frozen until needed. Dry ice is reliable and lasts longer than the average bag of ice, without the mess of puddles to clean. This makes dry ice a more effective solution when dealing with emergency situations.
Noble Gas Solutions understands that unexpected emergencies need a solution. Our team monitors phone calls coming in during non-business hours. You can’t always predict when an emergency situation will occur, but when they do Noble Gas is here for you.
