Noble Gas Solutions was proud to be a part of this year’s Making Strides Walk in Albany, NY. The breast cancer walk took place on Sunday, October 20th in Washington Park. Residents of the Capital Region united for a cause that supports thousands of families impacted by breast cancer. The Noble team was proud to walk among these admirable women on Sunday. For every survivor that registered that morning, bells and cheers rang out throughout the park. Downtown Albany was flooded in a sea of pink as fighters, survivors, and supporters walked together. The message was clear: You Are Not Alone.
The Statistics on Breast Cancer
According to the American Cancer Society (ACS), breast cancer 1 in 8 women, making it the second most common cancer among American women. At this time, there are more than 3.5 million breast cancer survivors in the United States.
Nevertheless, we are making strides! Breast cancer rates have steadily been decreasing among older women thanks to the advancements of preventative detection and early care. Funding for cancer research has allowed for advancements in treatments and organizations like American Cancer Society provide vital support to affected patients and families.
